Joyful Noise is a growing collective of writers and musicians committed to equipping the local church with songs that are both lyrically rich and deeply singable. We long to serve ordinary churches with music that engages both heart and mind, helping congregations to dwell richly in the truths of the gospel as they sing. Each member of our team brings their own story of how congregational singing has shaped them; moments of being formed, challenged, and comforted by the voice of the church. These experiences have forged a common conviction: what we sing matters. Together, we write out of those shared stories, hoping to offer to others what has been offered to us. The work began during the first UK Covid-19 lockdown, when a small team worked remotely to record our first EP: Come People of God. What started as a response to a moment of need quickly resonated, and so work began on a second EP, No Other Saviour, released in 2022. Since then, Joyful Noise has had the privilege of serving the wider church by leading sung worship at various national conferences. In all of this, our desire remains the same: to write and share songs that help God’s people sing songs from the word, to the heart and for the church.
