The Australian singer/songwriter received a lot of attention from the film SHORTBUS (2006). Besides the theme track 'In The End' he wrote further songs performed in the film by himself and featured on the soundtrack. He provided vocals on songs for the animation-serial GHOST IN THE SHELL (composed by YOKO KANNO). His debut album was released in 2008. With SIA he record his Christmas Song SILENT NIGHTS in the same year. The fourth studio album was the covers-album UNLEARNED (2013), his personal hit-parade. In a wide varity of songs Scott discovered, felt and worked out the emotional core with so much respect, that it becomes obvious, that these cover versions are not foreign songs, but in a way his very own, original material. In 2016 then followed the collaboration LIFE IS LONG together with the Portuguese composer RODRIGO LEAO (MADREDEUS). With his sixth studio album ODE TO OTHERS (2018) there was a departure from the subject of romantic love and the disappointments that can come from such endeavors. Instead this album pays homage to love in a broader sense. Honors are bestowed to family, friends and the mistreated both alive and deceased. For his album 'ADORNED' (2020) ten new versions of his classics have emerged. The new arrangements leave room for the beautiful melodies, they pick up Scott's touching vocals and open access to his poignant ballads in a way, that they sound lighter. His new covers-album A SMALL CONDUIT OF GREAT AFFAIRS will be out October 11, 2024.
